MGA strikes iGaming deal in Portugal

Notable Spanish slots developer MGA Games has revealed news of an agreement with Lisbon-based online gambling and betting operator, Nossa Aposta.
MGA Games has been around since 1976 and was originally in the leisure and entertainment company before moving into casino products – initially land-based before the online boom.
Under the terms of the deal, it means that a range of games from their comprehensive development suite will be available to players who visit the Nossa Aposta online casino.
Positive news for MGA
Following the announcement of the deal, it is one that has been greeted with much delight, especially by MGA, with a company statement revealing: “We are delighted to welcome Nossa Aposta as a new partner.
“We are a high-performance provider of location-based games, and we are sure that Nossa Aposta players will greatly appreciate the quality of all our titles as well as our localised product: Portuguese Celebrities slot games such as Paulo Futre, Ana Catharina, Chef Chackall, among others.”
MGA has carved somewhat of a niche in the development of casino games, with its unique Spanish Celebrity series of casino games, such as Grand Croupier Rebeca which features Rebeca Pous.
It has been somewhat of a landmark couple of months for the game developer after it agreed to a deal with fellow brand PlatinCasino in March, with the agreement suiting both parties.
Portugal’s iGaming market on the rise
Over the last couple of years, iGaming in Portugal has steadily been gaining in popularity, since becoming regulated in 2015, though it took a while for a significant demand to develop in the country, while there are still many global brands that appear to be unconvinced by the potential of the market.
Online sports betting has shown to be in demand, with the establishment of native firm, Betano, though online casino is still in the process of gathering popularity.
However, with Nossa Aposta agreeing to this most recent deal, it could provide players with an interesting alternative when it comes to their iGaming experience.
